About this Survey

The content of the database was collected using an online questionnaire that inlcuded a glossary.

The Director’s Office of the OECD Directorate for Public Governance Territorial Development conducted this survey in 2016. The OECD country responses were collected between June and October 2016 and presented at the annual meeting of the OECD Network of Senior Officials from Centres of Government held in October 2016.

Along with an OECD report that analyses the content of the database, the OECD has conducted extensive quality control of the responses in order to ensure consistency and reliability. Based on dialogue with countries, a number of responses have been changed and are now available on line.
